pop-we Dinner Club Reviews The Cabin Bar & Grill

This Ponca Hills stop lives up to its name alright, The Cabin. Tucked away in a strip mall off the Interstate makes it more accessible than most cabins though. As you drive up to 9226 Mormon Bridge Road diners immediately understand the appeal. The restaurant's exterior is made off logs. No surprise that it's Randy's pick, who is one of the biggest sportsman in our club. Their website states, "The Cabin Bar & Grill in Omaha, NE has a wide menu and a comfortable, cozy atmosphere."

When you walk in the ambiance changes a bit as you're welcomed with one huge open air room with big screens scattered throughout. This population-we™ (pop-we) Dinner Club night the 2014 FIFA World Cup was on! Most in attendance were cheering for the U-S-A! The ceilings were vaulted and patrons could see the exposed logs on the inside too. It was kind of dark; except for the windows tucked up high near the ceiling truly gave the restaurant a cozy cabin feel.

The Cabin offers darts & boxing too.
The bar area, which was nothing fancy, took up the center of the room. We were all seated at an open table only footsteps away from a boxing machine and dartboard. No one in our group played.

The Cabin offers an assortment of food. According to their website: "We have perfected the art of "Bar Food" with a wide menu and a comfortable, cozy atmosphere." Many in our club agree they've perfected bar food cuisine. Breaded molten hot mushrooms and lightly battered homemade onion rings were shared. Typical bar food, both fried, but still tasty. For diner, I went with the daily steak special that was cooked as I like it medium rare.

After compiling the surveys from the other pop-we Dinner Club foodies the club scores The Cabin Bar & Grill a 3.4 star average on a scale of 1-5.
